Art Spander is a renowned American sports writer. He was the lead columnist for the San Francisco Examiner, Oakland Tribune and a golf writer, basketball writer and NFL/college football writer for the SF Chronicle, and also contributed to the Sporting News, numerous sports magazines, and wrote a weekly American sports column for the London Telegraph  He has covered covered 70 Rose Bowls, 57 Masters Tournaments,  180 Golf Majors, 40 Super Bowls and 37 Final Fours. He was named CA Sportswriter of the Year, and has been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame (McCann Award), the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame, Masters Media Wall of Fame, College Basketball HOF and earned the PGA Tour Lifetime Achievement Award.
